A HOPE VALLEY village is to play host to its first Farmers Market today, July 31, with high hopes that the event will take place every month.
Over 14 stallholders are expected to attend and they will be selling a wide range of homemade and home produced items.

They include meats, jams, preserves, soaps, non alcoholic wines, craft items, fudge and chocolates all from producers in the Hope Valley as well as the surrounding area including Buxton and Bakewell.

The Farmers Market is on from 10am to 3pm today, Thursday July 31 at Hathersage Village Hall, Oddfellows Road, Hathersage. Refreshments will be available.

A second date has already been set with the next farmers market on August 21.
