WITH a £500,000 investment, award-winning local magazine and catalogue printer Buxton Press has moved to increase output whilst continuing its long established programme of environmental concern.
Two high speed Fujifilm Luxel V-8 platesetters utilising Brillia HD chemistry have been installed to produce over 1000 plates a day to feed the company's high powered pressroom of seven KBA long sheet fed perfectors – reputed to be the largest installation of its kind in the world.

Buxton Press Operation's Director, Kirk Galloway, says, "With our volume up 20% on last year we needed the best, the fastest and the most eco-friendly platesetters.

"Fujifilm fits the bill perfectly and has handled the changeover flawlessly with both platesetters fully operational and working flat out!"

Buxton Press, winner of a clutch of industry environmental awards including "Environmental Company of the Year", produces over 400 magazine titles for top UK publishers, are confident that the addition of this latest technology will further their commitment to reduce their carbon footprint and strengthen the quality of service to their customers.
