Kind cabbies

KIND-HEARTED cabbies are hoping customers and members of the public will give generously and support their efforts to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Drivers with Allied Taxis, in Buxton, are to pass on their tips to the charity for a week starting on August 8.
The date has been chosen because it is the 20th anniversary of the formation an association of taxis when a group of independent taxi drivers decided to work together rather than competing against each other.
The charity was chosen as some members of staff, past and present, have benefited greatly from the work of the BHF.
People can donate via collecting tins in all of the firm's cabs, at the Allied Taxis office on Hardwick Street, Hairs and Graces on Station Approach or at Flash Bar stores near Flash.
