A SUBMARINE cook is the unusual background of Mark Weston who has just taken over as licensee of the Old Pack Horse in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
Fourteen-years in the Royal Navy obviously stood him in good stead for the hospitality industry as he later went on to lift the golf club title of Welsh Steward of the Year.

Like Mark, his partner Gail Marshall also has a colourful background having been a bus driver, ambulance driver and most recently a community ranger before taking on the Robinson's house.

"My parents kept pubs with Robinson's and I was actually born in a pub," said Mark.

"My brother has also had three with the Stockport-based brewer so now that circumstances are right for us to do the same, Gail and I had no hesitation in going back to Robinson's who my family have known for so many years."
