Cooking up cash for Blythe House Hospice

RESIDENT cook Jill Longden is organising a 70's night on Saturday July 5 at 7pm at Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
The evening of wonderful food and entertainment will include a grand barbecue and buffet, disco and raffle. Fancy dress is optional, but there will be a prize for the best dressed.

Tickets cost £15 and are available on 01298 815388. All proceeds f
rom the evening will go to the hospice.

Lucy Marsden, Fundraiser at Blythe House, said: "We have a wonderful selection of fundraising events coming up and we are immensely grateful to people for organising these in aid of the hospice."

Forthcoming events include:

• The Taj Mahal in Buxton will be generously donating all its tips received between June 16 and 22 to Blythe House.

• Lisa Salt and Sarah Hayman will be running the Torbay Half Marathon on June 22 in aid of Blythe House. Contact the hospice to sponsor them.

• Chapel Friends of Blythe House will be holding a Ladies Networking event on July 3. Speaker will be beautician Anna Taylor, who will also give demonstrations. Admission is £5. Contact Wendy Bush on 01298 813426.

• Buxton Rotary Club's Charity 4AM Golf Competition on July 8 will be in aid of Blythe House. Entrance fees are £90 per team. Excellent raffle and tombola available. Contact Tony King on 01298 23834.

• Ian Middleton and Gaz Bramwell are running the Buxton Five Mile Run on July 12 in aid of Blythe House. Contact the hospice to sponsor them.
