RESIDENTS in Hadfield are invited to comment on how to spend grant money on Bankswood Park and play areas in Brosscroft and Newshaw Lane.
The funding is part of a £200,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund and aims to deliver a variety of improvements to play facilities throughout High Peak Borough.

Additional grant support of £10,000 is coming from Johnnie Johnson Housing, and will b
e used to develop the play area in Brosscroft.

Both awards follow the development of the Council's play strategy, Playtime in the Peak, which identified priorities for improvement.

Councillor Andrew Bingham, HPBC's Executive Member for Social and Community Development, said: "It's vitally important that as many people as possible give us their views on how we can spend this money, so please make sure you complete a questionnaire when you receive one.

If you have time, why not come along to the meeting planned, where you can view some of the exciting proposals and discuss possible ideas with local Councillors and Council staff."

Residents living in Hadfield, near the park and play areas, will receive a questionnaire to express their opinion on how they should be developed.

A drop-in meeting has also been planned for May 15 at Hadfield Youth Centre, where local people can call in, between 6pm and 8pm, to view and discuss the proposals.

* For anyone who would like a questionnaire, or would like further information, please contact Sally Curley on 0845 129 7777 extension 2205, or email: sallyc@highpeak.gov.uk.

Alternatively complete the questionnaire online, or download it, at www.highpeak.gov.uk/consultation/consult.asp.
