NEW MILLS Festival Chairman Ian Mason is urging people to go and support the many events that make up this year's bumper programme.
"Come have a look, taste it and if you like it you can come back again," he said.

"New Mills Festival is a celebration of our community and all the things that are happening in it.

"The town has again come up trumps, although every year there seems to be a different feature to the festival."

Among the many attractions this year is the talk 'Kinder Reservoir and Railway' on Monday September 15 at New Mills Town Hall.

"This will feature some original photos and material unearthed by Ken Rangeley and Derek Brumhead," added Ian.

"Another first is New Mills School, who have really got involved. They will be holding a Band Night on September 18."
