Former wild man of pop is back in town

PJ PROBY was not only once Elvis Presley's understudy, but was labelled as the wild man of pop when he went solo and scored a string of hits, including Hold Me and Maria.
He was banned from a string of nightclubs after he split his trousers on stage.
Proby may cut a quieter figure when he appears at Buxton Opera House next Tuesday, alongside other 60's pop survivors in 'Oh Boy!! It's The Non-Stop Sixties.'
Also on stage is Chris Farlowe 'Out Of Time' and 'Handbags & Gladrags' Brian Poole with Twist & Shout and Do You Love Me, Vanity Fare with I Live For The Sun and for good measure there is the unforgettable voice of Mike Pender from The Searchers on Sweets For My Sweet and Needles & Pins.
The show starts at 7:30pm.
