Spanish music, children's choir and jet-setting rockers

n HAYFIELD Concert Society has a concert with a difference tomorrow (Friday) - with an evening of Spanish music.
The work of Spain’s best loved composers including Rodrigo, Manuel De Falla, Albeniz and Granados will be performed by Trio Classico.

The concert at St. Matthew’s Church, Hayfield, starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available at the usual outlets, or you can pay on the door from 7pm. Prices £8, concessions £6, and accompanied under-18’s free.

n THE ANNUAL summer concert of the Kinder Children’s Choirs of the High Peak - entitled ‘Champagne’ - will be held at Buxton Opera House on Saturday July 5, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are on sale at the Buxton Opera House Box Office on 0845 127 2190.

n JET-SETTING rockers Cold Flame will appear at The Beehive in New Mills tonight (Thursday) at 9pm, performing a mixture of traditional jigs and reels, original material and some popular folk rock and bluesy covers.

The band - which will soon be performing at the 3rd Vienna Folk Festival - has also teamed up with the local hostelry to add extra spice with an Indian curry night.
