Katy Setterfield – winner of BBC TV's 'The One & Only' – will be appearing at Buxton Opera House on Wednesday September 10 to perform her truly remarkable tribute to 60s singing icon Dusty Springfield.
Over eight nail-biting weeks in January and February this year, Katy Setterfield beat off competition from singers across the length and breadth of the UK – not to mention her fellow 11 finalists – to win BBC TV's 'The One & Only', the search for the
country's leading tribute artist, with the prize of a three-month contract in the world-famous Legends In Concert show in Las Vegas.

In Autumn 2008, Katy returns from Vegas and immediately sets out on her first UK tour, taking in Buxton Opera House along the way.

Katy has been in love with making music since she was four-years-old.

In 1993 she entered the world of the tribute artist, performing as Cher. Katy quickly realised her ability to change her voice was the key to her success and in 2000 she auditioned as the new lead female vocalist for 'That'll be the Day'.

After belting out a couple of Cher songs the gig was immediately hers and the opportunity to learn her stage skills was born.

The director, Trevor Payne, suggested different artists for Katy to impersonate including Tina Turner, Debbie Harry, Shirley Bassey, Sandie Shaw, Brenda Lee, Doris Day and many more, which were honed at this time, but the masterstroke came with the discovery of Katy's uncanny ability to 'be' Dusty Springfield. Every night she would raise the roof with renditions of all the Dusty classics.

This led to Katy entering the BBC1/Endemol show 'The One & Only' and, after reaching the final ten as both Cher and Dusty she won through to the live contest in January/February 2008. Katy then beat all the other contestants as the 'One & Only' Dusty Springfield

Tickets for Katy Setterfield as 'The One & Only' Dusty Springfield are priced at £15.50 and £17.50, and discounts are available.
