I feel I must put pen to paper and draw attention to the Child of the Year competition.
How do we choose a winner when the whole of three pages of babies and toddlers all look alike? The photos themselves taken in the precinct, speaking about the ones taken of my great grandson, are lovely, but to judge a winner of the children in the Advertiser is just not possible.

But then on reflection it's not how it works. It's a voting system which isn't a very fair way. Some families don't have many relations to go and have a vote. The ones who have countless friends and neighbours who will all go and vote. I think its unfair.
