SOME friends of ours recently lost out to the planners for the installation of solar water heating panels.
The Peak ParkAuthority stated that solar panels would "have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the conservation area and the National Park."

I thought you readership would be interested in the following photographs all taken within one mile on a well known Peak District road.

They clearly show how the Peak Park are making major efforts to enhance the character and appearance of the Park – I don't think so, give me solar panels any day!
