RESIDENTS in Chelmorton have launched an SOS to save their church spire.
Around £120,000 is needed to carry out work on the 15th century spire at St John the Baptist Church.

In support of the Save our Spire campaign, an afternoon of refreshments will be served at Ditch House, Chelmorton, on Sunday August 24, between 1pm and 5pm.

Homemade cakes, scones and sandwiches will be available.

Other planned fund-raising events include a Fashion Show at the Railway Hotel on September 24, followed by a Race Night early next year.
