FAIRFIELD WI members were sorry to hear of the illnesses of several of their members at their June meeting and get well wishes were sent to Kay, Kath, Ann and Bettine.
Di Cockram was thanked for organising the lunch at the Dome restaurant.
The AGM report from Liverpool was read and one of the resolutions was passed. Future outings are planned for Liverpool in September and a bowls and picnic evening at the cricket club.
Village outings will be to Hartington in July and Winster in August and the programmes for the next year are now available.
The speaker gave a fascinating insight into the art of Raq Sharqi, commonly known as belly-dancing. She brought along exotic costumes and demonstrated some of the dances in time to Egyptian music, which was enjoyed by all.
