Derbyshire St John Ambulance has a new Commander at the helm.
Christopher Poole has started his term as County Commander, taking over from Ken Cook CBE who is now Chair of Council at Derbyshire St John.

A member of St John Ambulance for more than 50 years, Chris started as a St John Cadet in Coventry following a family tradition, with his father, mother, brother, sister and aunt all being St John Ambulance members at some time in their lives.

In his working life Chris was an electrician and electrical engineer before becoming a self-employed health and safety consultant delivering courses in the electrical industry.

He is currently a health and safety adviser and first aid trainer for St John Ambulance in Nottinghamshire, as well as being on the national health and safety audit team for St John Ambulance.

Living in Sandiacre, Chris is married to Annette who has also recently been appointed Commissioner Training for Nottinghamshire St John Ambulance.
