A DONATION of £400 was music to the ears of the High Peak Samba band.
The band, which is open to anyone regardless of experience, will use the money, donated by Derbyshire county councillors Robin Baldry and Barbara Wilson to produce publicity and information leaflets.

New members are always welcome and all instruments are provided.

The group take part in a variety of events, including local carnivals, or you can just play for fun.

High Peak Samba meet fortnightly at Fairfield Community Centre on Saturdays between 10am and noon.

Sessions cost £2 to cover the cost of the room hire. More information is available from Jim Lampard on 01298 73082.
