A SERVICE of remembrance for past servicemen and women was held by the Buxton branch of the Royal British Legion on Veterans Day.
The Rev John Hudghton conducted the ceremony during last Thursday's gathering at the Hardwick Square club.

Brian Mycock, Chairman of the Buxton branch, said: "It wasn't as well attended as we had hoped, but I think everyone enjoyed having a chat with each other.

"Although there were two or three people who hadn't been before, we are still struggling for new members."

To join the Buxton Branch of the Royal British Legion, contact Brian on 01298 78652.
