Bucks cup draw proves favourable

BUXTON FC have been drawn at home in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy for the coming season.
The first round qualifying for the FA Cup sees Buxton entertain either Bootle, Eccleshall, Alsager Town or Padiham on Saturday, September 13. Kick-off will be at 3pm.
And in the FA Trophy first round qualifying the Bucks will host either Carlton Town or Atherstone Town on Saturday, October 18, kick off 3pm.
New Mills face Friar Lane & Epworth in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup followed by either Oadby Town or Oldbury United in the preliminary round if they are successful. The first round qualifying would see the winners playing Rugby Town at home.
In the vase, the Millers are at home to Wolverhampton Casuals in the first round qualifying on September, 6. The winner of that match will then set up a home tie against either Ellistown or Stapenhill on September 20 in the second round qualifying.
Glossop North End face an away tie against Pegasus Juniors in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup on August 16. If they win that match, they would then host Belper Town at home on August 30, kick off 3pm.
Victory in both preliminary rounds would set up a home tie against either Ledbury Town, Bromyard Town, Coventry Sphinx or Barwell.
In the first round qualifying for the FA Vase Glossop North End will host Sporting Khalsa on September 6. The winner of that tie will travel to Brocton or Calverton MW on September 20.
Buxton chairman Tony Tomlinson said: "The draw has been favourable to us."
