FA Cup heroes are on their way

FA CUP heroes Barnsley are to visit the Silverlands for a pre-season friendly match.
Barnsley, who beat Premier League sides Liverpool and Chelsea to reach the FA Cup semi final, come to the Silverlands on Friday, July 11 in the second of Buxton's friendly matches.
Manager Simon Davey is a friend of Buxton's assistant manager Clive Freeman and has promised to bring his first team squad for the game, which kicks-off at 7.45pm.
Local Coca-Cola football league two side Macclesfield Town are also among the visitors for the pre-season games when the two teams meet on Tuesday, July 22, kick off 7.45pm.
A new pre-season fixture for this season will see Shrewsbury Town, another league two side travel to Buxton on Tuesday, August 5, kick off 7.45pm.
Buxton's pre-season programme kicks off a month earlier, on Saturday, July 5 when they visit manager John Reed's former club Hatfield Main. Kick off for that match is scheduled for 3pm.
